One of Dr. Marcus Warner’s all-time favorites! Romanian Pastor Josef Tson was imprisoned, beaten, and nearly martyred for his faith several times before being exiled from Romania. In this 3-part series, Pastor Tson shares how God forged his theology of union with Christ, seeing God’s sovereignty even in suffering, and being liberated from the fear of death.
In Part 2 of this series, Pastor Josef Tson tells inspiring stories of how God has been at work in surprising ways around the world. Hear how communism fell due to a visit to a Safeway in Dallas, Texas, stories of the Gospel penetrating the Muslim world, and more! He also talks of knowing God as Lover, and loving Him in return.
Our greatest battle in this world is against sin. Romans 7 tells us that sin is a powerful magnet. How can we be victorious? In Part 3 of this series, Pastor Josef Tson unpacks Romans 5-8 to give a biblical perspective of what it means to live in union with Christ – the greatest gift God has given us.
The life and message of Dr. Tson demonstrates how to conquer fear. During the dictatorship of President Ceausescu in Romania, Dr. Tson wrote a paper on the principles of God’s way of life and gave the president a copy. Dr. Tson was immediately arrested and threatened with death if he did not rescind what he had written. His reply was a calm loving smile. The police demanded, “Why are you smiling?” He then revealed the secrets that overcame his fear and won the admiration of his captors. Dr. Tson although “retired,” continues his ministry of writing, preaching, and evangelism. He was a visionary who preached the downfall of Communism in his country and was exiled by the Communist government for taking a stand in the defense of Christians abused by the regime. For years he spoke on the radio, known as “the pastor from Radio Free Europe.”
